Being a Geelong native, it only makes sense that we share with you My 5 favourite venues to snap and see shows at!

5. Saints & Sailors, Portarlington

This tiny little venue surprisingly fits a lot of music lovers, with music Friday - Sunday there is plenty of opportunity to get down there!

Overlooking the Bay - its the perfect spot in the warmer months!

4. Barwon Club, South Geelong

One of the staple venues of the Geelong scene.

This place covers everything from folk to hard core rock and roll. The band room always has some great local or national talent in it, and is regularly hosting community charity events such as Garfest & The Mane Event .

3. Beavs Bar, Little Malop St

Possibly the coolest venue in Geelong, both the front and back bar are lined with miss match couches and furniture. Complete with a random assortment of art,mirrors, and hundreds of Barbies hanging over the bar. There is music for everyone with, Open Mic, Karaoke and local artists gracing the venue throughout the week!

this is one of the more intimate venues in Geelong.

2. Workers Club Geelong, Little Malop St

A newer venue to the area, but one of the most frequented by touring acts both local and national level. The exposed brick, industrial looking band room looks like something straight out of Melbourne, and the BBQ skills from the kitchen are highly raved about! They also host local residencies for up and coming artists.

1. Real Music Vinyl & CD's, Little Malop St

As you can tell Little Malop St is the place to be for live music in Geelong. My favourite place to snap is technically not even a venue. Matt at Real Music hosts artists out the front of his shop quite often and supports local talent, there has also been the occasional in store here and there. The Record shop is the only one in Geelong, and hosts a variety of local, national and international Vinyl and CD's, It also has some pretty cool Music Photography on the walls ;)
